Dr. Ruby Lai is the founder and inventor of Foss’s pioneering water care technology.

Since 2018, Dr. Lai has collaborated with leading institutions like Columbia, Stanford, and Duke University on breakthrough wastewater systems as part of the 'Reinvent The Toilet' project by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Throughout her academic and professional careers, from Harvard to Stanford University PhD and as a Fannie and John Hertz Fellow, Dr. Lai has been dedicated to developing sustainable engineering applications that create real societal impact by solving critical global challenges.

Under her leadership, Foss is setting new standards for water care, tackling the urgent need for scalable, decentralized sanitation solutions worldwide.
